RUTLAND — A 35-year-old man was arrested on a warrant following an incident in Rutland on Wednesday.
Police located Matthew Witham, of Rutland, who was wanted for violating probation, while they were patrolling Center Street and Wales Street.
Police say they attempted to make contact with Williams, who fled on foot from them.
He was later located and taken into custody with the assistance of an off-duty officer.
He was lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center.
