RUTLAND — Two people were arrested following an incident in Rutland yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a trespassing complaint at the Cortina Inn on Holiday Drive at around 8:20 p.m.

Police allege that Anna Karhu, 24, was on the property after receiving notice she was not permitted to be there.

While attempting to locate Karhu, James Debellis, 53, was asked to leave the property by staff and refused.

Police say Debellis attempted to hinder the arrest of Karhu and both were taken into custody.

Debellis was issued a citation for the charges of unlawful trespass and hindering arrested and Karhu was cited for unlawful trespass to appear in court on September 12.
