SOUTH BURLINGTON — A 45-year-old man from Colchester was arrested for his third DUI in South Burlington yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a disabled vehicle on I-89 north at around 3:30 p.m.
Responding troopers say they located the disabled vehicle and met with the driver, identified as Craig Bates.
Police say Bates displayed indicators of impairment and they conducted a roadside investigation, which culminated in Bates being placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
He was transported to the Williston State Police barracks for processing.
He was released into the custody of a sober adult with a criminal citation to appear in court at a later date and time to answer the charge of DUI #3.
