WILLIAMSTOWN — A 48-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Williamstown yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a domestic altercation on Paradise Lane at around 10:45 a.m.

Police say that Christopher Dessureau, of Williamstown, had caused bodily injury to a household member and prevented them from contacting emergency services.

During the course of the investigation, it was found that Dessureau had removed evidence from the residence and would not divulge its location to troopers.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin barracks for processing for the charges of domestic assault, interference with access to emergency services, and obstruction of justice.

He was issued a citation to appear in court on June 13 and released.
