CHELSEA — A 39-year-old man from South Burlington was cited following a crash in Chelsea on Friday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Burger Road at around 10:30 p.m.
Police say they observed a truck off the road when they arrived.
George Welch identified himself as the operator of the truck and stated that he had a juvenile family member sleeping in the back of the truck.
While speaking with troopers, Welch allegedly showed signs of being under the influence of intoxicants.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin barracks for processing.
Welch was issued a citation to appear in court on June 29 to answer to the offenses of DUI #2, DLS, and reckless endangerment.
