TOWNSHEND — A 22-year-old man was charged following an incident in Townshend last month.
On May 13, authorities say they were notified of an assaultive patient at Grace Cottage Hospital at around 1:50 p.m.
Following an investigation, police allege that Kyle J. Hamilton assaulted three healthcare workers.
Hamilton was in violation of active conditions of release at the time of the incident.
While speaking with police, he told police that he was not living at home anymore, which was violating conditions stating he must be at a specific residence from 7:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m.
He was released with a criminal citation to appear in court on July 12 to answer to the charges of assault of a protected professional, assault with bodily fluid, and violations of conditions.
