POWNAL — A 28-year-old woman was cited following an incident in Pownal yesterday.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling 81 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour zone on Route 7 at around 7:15 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Cassandra Matteson, of Pownal, was found to have a criminally suspended license.
Matteson was issued a citation to appear in court on August 1 for the charges of excessive speed, and criminal DLS.
