RIPTON — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Ripton yesterday.
The crash took place on Vermont 125E at around 10:30 p.m.
Police say the driver had fled the scene, and nobody was with the vehicle.
Troopers searched the area with a K-9, along with the Middlebury Police Department and area Fire and Rescue Squad.
The driver was unable to be located.
Police say alcohol is a suspected contributing factor in this crash.
