Jericho man arrested for DUI, reckless endangerment with child in vehicle

JERICHO — A 26-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Jericho on Thursday.

Police say they were notified of an erratic driver at the Mount Mansfield Union High School on Browns Trace Road with a young child in the vehicle.

Troopers arrived on the scene and contacted Michael Barrington, of Jericho, who was operating the vehicle with a young child in the back seat.

Following an investigation, police say that Barrington showed indicators of impairment and he was arrested for suspicion of DUI and reckless endangerment.

He was transported to the Williston barracks for processing.

He was later released on a citation to appear in court.
