BURLINGTON — Police are investigating a structure fire that broke out in Burlington early this morning.
The fire took place on Northshore Drive at around 12:05 a.m.
Authorities say the fire was inside one of the garages and the caller reported an individual fleeing the scene.
Upon arrival, police say they interviewed witnesses and collected evidence.
Preliminary investigation revealed the fire was contained to the rear of a detached three-car garage on the outside of the building.
Evidence collected revealed the fire was deliberately set, police say.
Burlington Fire Department extinguished the fire and determined the fire had been contained to the outside of the building, damaging the siding.
