WEST RUTLAND — A 23-year-old man from Pittsford was cited following an incident in West Rutland yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of an active fight due to a possible road rage incident at a home on Whipple Hollow Road at around 3:00 p.m.
Upon arrival at the home, police say they made contact with Ean T. Bruno, and James Orvis, 57, of Starksboro.
Police say they detected the odor of intoxicants while speaking with Bruno.
Following an investigation, police found that Bruno had operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, and had assaulted Orvis after exiting his vehicle.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks for processing.
He was cited to appear in court at a later date and time for the charges of DUI and simple assault.
