Woman attacked while walking in Burlington

BURLINGTON — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who was involved in an assault in Burlington on Sunday.

The incident took place on Hickok Place at around 2:05 a.m.

The victim told police she was walking home from downtown when she observed a male following her.

The unknown man grabbed her shoulders from behind.

Police say the man then grabbed her neck, placing her in a headlock.

The victim was able to defend herself and escape, and ran home.

Police say the man is described as a white man, approximately 40 years of age, approximately 5’6” to 5’10” tall, with a medium-length beard, and a medium to heavy build.

He was wearing a blue jacket.
