Shots fired during Winooski home invasion

WINOOSKI – Police say they are investigating after shots were fired during a home invasion in Winooski on Monday.

The incident took place on Malletts Bay Avenue at around 2:40 a.m.

Police say multiple suspects entered the home and during the commission of the crime, one suspect fired a gun.

The gunshot caused a minor, non-life-threatening injury to a resident, police say.

According to police, the victim has been uncooperative in the investigation.

Information gathered during the course of the investigation suggested this was an isolated incident and does not pose an increased risk to the general public, police say.
