BARTON — A 30-year-old man from East Haven was arrested for stealing an ATV in Barton earlier this week.
The ATV was stolen from a home on Laclair Lane on Monday.
On Wednesday, authorities say they were notified of an ATV matching the description of the stolen one on Haven Street in East Haven.
Police say they had probable cause to believe that Damyon Norway was in possession of the stolen vehicle, and executed a search warrant at the Haven Street address.
The ATV was located and eventually returned to the owner.
Norway later met with troopers regarding the incident and was taken into custody for possession of the stolen property.
Police allege Norway entered the ATV owner’s garage in Barton to steal the ATV.
Norway was processed for the offense and released with a citation to appear in court.
