FAIR HAVEN — A 45-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Fair Haven last month.
On March 27, police say they arrested David J. Mitchell, of Rutland, after he failed to comply with a traffic violation.
Police allege that they attempted to stop Mitchell for speeding on South Main Street at around 8:30 p.m.
When Police attempted to stop Mitchell he fled at a high rate of speed.
Police say he traveled approximately 5 miles before stopping in a driveway.
Following an investigation, police found that Mitchell was under suspension to operate a motor vehicle.
He was arrested and released to appear in court at a later date.
He was also issued civil violations for operating under suspension, operating without insurance, and for having an unregistered motor vehicle.
