Hit-and-run crash in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 29-year-old man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident in St. Johnsbury yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a hit-and-run in front of Kinney Drugs on Memorial Drive.

Police say the vehicle that fled the scene was described as a red Chevrolet Cobalt.

There were also multiple forms of surveillance footage that recorded the event.

Police identified the suspect as Christian Haines, of St. Johnsbury.

He was located with the help of the St. Johnsbury Police Department.

Haines was issued a citation to answer the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
