BURLINGTON — Police are investigating after gunshots were reported in Burlington yesterday.
Authorities say they received multiple calls of gunshots, people yelling, and a vehicle or vehicles speeding away in the vicinity of the intersection of Pine Street and Maple Street at around 5:40 a.m.
Police say a U-Haul truck was also seen leaving the scene.
Officers responded and recovered ballistics evidence consistent with the discharge of a firearm.
Police say they located and recovered a U-Haul truck that had been reported stolen out of Winooski.
This is believed to be the fourth gunfire incident in 2022.
The investigation into this incident is in the earliest stages.
