Man charged with throwing brick through truck window in Pownal

POWNAL — A 34-year-old man is now facing charges of unlawful mischief following an incident that took place in Pownal last year.

On November 24, 2021, authorities say they were notified of a vandalism report on Main Street where a brick had been thrown through a truck windshield.

Police say they seized the brick as evidence.

Troopers collected biological evidence found on the brick which was sent to the Vermont Forensic Laboratory for testing.

On March 16th, 2022, troopers received confirmation from the Combined DNA Index System that the DNA found on the brick belonged to James M. Brown, of Pownal.

On April 14th, Brown was released with a citation to answer the charge at a later date and time.
