WESTFIELD — A 32-year-old man from Westmore was arrested following an incident in Westfield yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified by concerned citizens that a truck traveling south on Vermont Route 100 in Troy seemed to be being operated by an impaired driver.

The truck was located by police who witnessed it making marked lanes violations and also failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

Police initiated a traffic stop and the driver was identified as Tyler Pion.

Police say Pion showed many indicators of impairment and following an investigation, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI drugs.

Pion was also found to have an active in-state warrant for his arrest.

He was transported to the Derby barracks for processing and later lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility in regard to the arrest warrant.
