Police arrest St. Johnsbury man wanted on several warrants

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 34-year-old man was arrested In St. Johnsbury yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a suspicious male at the KFC on Memorial Drive at around 6:50 p.m.

While patrolling on Route 5, police say they observed a man with the same identifying characteristics and made a traffic stop.

While interacting with the driver, he told police that he did not have a picture ID with him and gave a false name and date of birth.

Following an investigation, police identified the man as Jeremy M. Bathalon, of St. Johnsbury.

Police say he had two active warrants for his arrest.

Bathalon was arrested for the charges of false information to police, violation of conditions, and released with a criminal citation to appear in court on May 16.
