ST. ALBANS — A 37-year-old man from Fairfax was cited for careless and negligent operation following an incident last week.
On April 11, police say they were patrolling Manley Road at around 2:00 p.m.
They witnessed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed but were unable to conduct a traffic stop due to the driver’s efforts to evade contact with law enforcement.
A short time later, it was reported that the vehicle was involved in a road rage incident on Lake Road in St. Albans.
During this second incident, police say the vehicle was operated in a negligent and aggressive manner.
Police say that the driver of the vehicle at the time of both incidents was identified as Travis Sweeney.
As a result, Sweeney was issued a citation to appear in court on June 20 in order to face the charge.
