Driver charged with leaving the scene after DUI crash in Addison

ADDISON — A 54-year-old woman was arrested for DUI refusal following a crash in Addison yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place on Vermont Route 22A at around 12:00 p.m.

Prior to police being contacted, one of the drivers had left the scene.

Police say they located the driver, identified as Julia Coffey, 54, at her home in Addison.

According to the report, it was found that Coffey was under the influence of intoxicants.

She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

She was released to a sober party with a citation to appear in court on May 2.
