DERBY — A 48-year-old man from Newport was arrested for DUI following a crash in Derby yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a vehicle crash on North Derby Road at around 7:25 p.m.
Troopers were assisted by Border Patrol at the scene.
Police met with the driver, identified as Terrance Killroy.
Killroy allegedly displayed multiple signs of impairment and after an investigation was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
He was transported to the Derby barracks where he was processed.
He was later brought to Northern State Correctional Facility for detox, police say.
