Two injured during West Haven crash

WEST HAVEN — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in West Haven yesterday.

The crash took place on Route 22A near the intersection of Main Road at around 5:00 p.m.

According to the report, Michael Jenkins, 40, of Queensbury, NY, was traveling south on Route 22A when he attempted to pass a box truck.

Jenkins crossed the center line and collided with Sandy Tobin, 66, of Queensbury, NY, who was traveling north.

Police say both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Jenkins was issued a criminal citation for negligent operation and issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint about limitations on passing.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by the West Haven Fire Department and Fair Haven Rescue Squad.
