Putney man arrested on multiple charges

PUTNEY — A 32-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following a crash in Putney on Monday.

The crash took place at around 9:05 a.m.

Bryan Wainwright, of Putney, is accused of crashing into a parked vehicle, then leaving the scene and walking to his home.

Wainwright’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle is criminally suspended in the state of Vermont.

He was also suspected to be under the influence of intoxicants and had a juvenile in his vehicle at the time of the crash.

While being interviewed about the incident, Wainwright is alleged to have provided false information to law enforcement.

He was taken into custody and brought to the Westminster barracks for processing.

He was released and cited to appear in court on May 31 to answer to the charges of leaving the scene of an accident, DUI drugs, criminal DLS, false information to a police officer, and recklessly endangering another person.
