FAIR HAVEN — A 46-year-old man was arrested following an investigation that opened in Fair Haven in February.
Police say they arrested Mitchell L. Matteson, of Fair Haven, for the theft of a firearm.
On February 8, police were called to Green Mountain Mobile Manor when the firearm was reported stolen.
The caller told police that he believed Matteson had entered his home while they were gone and taken items from the home.
Following an investigation, police found that Matteson had allegedly been in possession of the stolen firearm and sold it to another person.
The firearms were recovered and returned to the owner.
Matteson was arrested and issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the charge.
