MONTPELIER — A 43-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Montpelier earlier this month.
On March 14, authorities say they were notified that a vehicle crashed into a parked car on Main Street and then left the scene at around 7:20 p.m.
Police initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle operating erratically on First Avenue.
According to the report, the driver, identified as Travis Worthington, was found to have continued to operate the vehicle after crashing elsewhere, causing heavy damage to the front end.
Police also say he was observed to be impaired by alcohol.
He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Worthington is also charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident.
