SWANTON — The Swanton Village Police Department recently announced a new hire.
Sergeant Tyler Badeau will join the department after previously serving with the Burlington Police Department for 14 years.
He was hired by the Burlington Police Department in 2008 and served as a K9 handler with K9 Moe since 2014.
Corporal Badeau and K9 Moe won the State of Vermont K9 Team of the year in 2016 and Drug Team of the year in 2019.
Sergeant Badeau previously served as the President of the Burlington Police Officers Association for approximately two years prior to leaving the Burlington Police Department.
