Man arrested for possession of cocaine in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — A 34-year-old man from Brookfield was arrested for possession of cocaine in Montpelier.

On March 9, police initiated a traffic stop on Northfield Street at around 12:10 a.m.

Police allege indicators of illicit drug use were observed within the vehicle and a consent search was conducted.

Police say they found cocaine and related paraphernalia.

The man was arrested and charged with possession of a regulated drug.

Police have not released the name of the man at this time.
