COLCHESTER — Police are investigating a suspicious incident that took place in Colchester yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a call reporting several suspicious bottles next to a fence adjacent to the Sunset Drive-In on Porters Point Road at around 4:00 p.m.
Police say responding officers found four glass bottles that contained liquid.
One of the bottles was capped by a piece of cloth.
Police identified these as potential improvised incendiary devices.
The Colchester Fire Department was called to the scene as well as the Vermont Hazardous Material Response Team and the Vermont State Police Bomb Squad.
After examining the devices, the hazards were mitigated by the VHMRT.
Police are still investigating this incident.
