POULTNEY — A 35-year-old man was charged with domestic assault in Poultney last week.
Authorities say they were notified of a domestic disturbance that occurred at a home on York Street on March 9, at around 4:40 p.m.
Police allege that Michael Johnson, of Poultney, physically assaulted a family or household member.
Johnson was taken into custody today and processed at the Rutland City Police Department.
He was issued a citation to appear in court today to answer the charge.
VSP troopers say they were assisted in this investigation by the Rutland City Police Department.
