Driver arrested for traveling 113 mph on I-89 in Berlin

BERLIN — A 19-year-old man from New York was arrested for negligent operation following an incident in Berlin yesterday.

Police say they pulled over a vehicle traveling north on I-89 for a speeding violation at around 10:25 p.m.

The vehicle was clocked traveling 113 miles-per-hour in a posted 65 miles-per-hour zone.

The driver, identified as Payton Kittsley, of Pleasantville, NY, was taken into custody for negligent operation.

He was transported to the State Police barracks in Middlesex for processing.

Police say Kittsley was released on a citation and is scheduled to appear in court on April 28.
