SEARSBURG — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Searsburgh this morning.
Authorities say they were notified that a disabled tractor-trailer unit was located on Vermont Route 9, near the intersection of Vermont Route 8, at around 8:00 a.m.
According to the report, a vehicle being driven by Jaime Baez-Trevino, 31, of Alton, Texas, was headed east when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered road.
Baez-Trevino’s vehicle then slid on the poor road conditions and collided with a vehicle driven by Alfred Hicks, 51, of Laurel, Maryland.
The crash caused rear-end damage to the tractor-trailer unit, but no injuries were reported.
Baez-Trevino’s vehicle suffered substantial damage to the front-end, requiring it to be towed from the scene by A’s Towing and Repair Service.
