BETHEL — A 31-year-old man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Bethel yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of an assault at a residence on Route 107 at around 8:25 p.m.
While troopers were en route, the victim identified the suspect as Dakota Campbell, of Bethel.
Police allege Campbell entered the victim’s residence, assaulted them, and left the scene.
Campbell’s vehicle was located at a separate address in Royalton, and police responded to the location.
During the investigation, troopers allege that Campbell was also under the influence of alcohol.
He was taken into custody for the charges and transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton barracks for processing.
He was cited to appear in court on March 14 to answer to the charges of simple assault, unlawful trespass into an occupied dwelling, DUI, and released on conditions of release.
