RUTLAND — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Rutland on Sunday.
The crash took place on U.S. Route 7, at the intersection with Cedar Avenue, at around 10:05 a.m.
According to the report, Craig Morton, 47, of Claremont, New Hampshire, was crossing U.S. Route 7 from Prospect Kill Road to Cedar Avenue, while Kevin Smith, 49, of Brandon was headed south on U.S. Route 7.
As Morton entered the intersection, police say he did so without enough time and distance to avoid a collision with Smith.
Smith reported applying his brakes when he saw Morton’s vehicle enter the intersection but was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision.
No injuries were reported, police say.
