Driver clocked doing 106 mph in Winooski arrested for DUI

WINOOSKI — A 23-year-old man from South Burlington was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Winooski yesterday.

Police say they observed a vehicle traveling on I-89 at 106 miles-per-hour in a posted 55 miles-per-hour zone at around 11:00 p.m.

Police initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Tyler Kennedy.

Kennedy, who showed signs of impairment, was screened for DUI and taken into custody for suspicion of driving while impaired.

He was processed at the Williston State Police barracks and issued a citation to appear in court for the charges of DUI, negligent operation, and reckless endangerment.
