Multiple crashes shut down Waterbury-Stowe Road

WATERBURY — Police responded to multiple crashes in Waterbury yesterday.

Both crashes took place on Waterbury-Stowe Road at around 12:50 p.m.

According to the report, Dylan Roberge, 20, of Colchester, had swerved to avoid hitting Liam Fahey, 21, of Canton, Michigan, as Fahey was slowing down due to a vehicle turning in front of him.

Police say Roberge hit the tail light of Fahey’s vehicle causing minor damage.

Roberge then hit a telephone pole causing damage to the passenger side of his vehicle and the telephone pole.

The road was blocked by power lines following the crash.

The second crash report states that Thomas Priebe, 63, of Waterbury, rear-ended a vehicle being driven by Nichole Durkin, 39, of Waterbury, as he slowed down due to the crash.

Police say nobody was injured in both incidents.

Waterbury-Stowe Road was closed for a brief period of time during this incident.
