Man arrested for pointing rifle at neighbor in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — A 45-year-old man was arrested for reckless endangerment following an incident in Springfield on Sunday.

Eric Zobkiw, 50, of Springfield, reported to police that his neighbor pointed a rifle at him on Union Street at around 10:20 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Shane M. Tie, of Springfield, threatened Zobkiw with a rifle when he pointed it at him during a verbal altercation in their apartment complex.

Yesterday, police located and arrested Tie at around 9:00 p.m for the offense.

Tie was transported to Springfield Police Department for processing.

He was released on conditions and issued a criminal citation to appear in court on March 2, to answer the charge.
