LYNDON — A 54-year-old woman from West Topsham was arrested following an incident in Lyndon on Wednesday.
Authorities say they were notified of a 911 call from someone on I-91 stating that they passed a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lane.
Police responded to the area at around 10:00 p.m. and located the vehicle in a stationary position facing the wrong direction of travel.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Peggy Bowen.
Police allege that Bowen displayed multiple signs of impairment.
They conducted field sobriety tests, at the conclusion of which Bowen was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI, and negligent operation.
She was transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing.
