ROYALTON — A 39-year-old man from Barre was arrested for his fourth DUI in Windsor yesterday.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle following an observed motor vehicle violation on I-89 south at around 8:00 p.m.
The driver was identified as William Ranew.
While speaking with Ranew indicators of impairment were detected, police say.
Ranew was taken into custody for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton barracks without incident where he was processed for DUI#4 and criminal DLS.
He was issued a citation to appear in court.
