FERRISBURGH — A 29-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Ferrisburgh yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of an assault on Middlebrook Road at around 10:20 p.m.
Following an investigation, police allege that Sebastian Jimenez, of Ferrisburgh, assaulted a household member.
Police say the assault took place in the presence of a child.
Jimenez is accused of causing damage to the victim’s cell phone.
Police say Jimenez also attempted to prevent the victim from contacting emergency services.
He was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.
He was later released with active conditions of release and a citation to appear in court at a later date to answer the charges of domestic assault, offense committed in the presence of a child, unlawful mischief, and interference with access to emergency services.
Troopers were assisted on the scene by members of the Vergennes Police Department.
