Police: Concerned citizen call leads to DUI in Dorset

DORSET — A 37-year-old man from Arlington was arrested following an incident in Dorset yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a motor vehicle complaint on U.S. Route 7 at around 2:40 p.m.

Police responded to the area and located the vehicle matching the description provided by the complainant.

The vehicle exited U.S. Route 7 onto Vermont Route 313 in Sunderland.

Police say they observed a motor vehicle infraction and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Dorothy B. Wickenheisser.

While speaking with the driver, several indicators of impairment were observed.

Wickenheisser was screened for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Based on the observations, Wickenheisser was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

He was transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for processing and was released with a citation to appear in court on February 28 to answer the charge of DUI Refusal.
