POWNAL — A 22-year-old woman from Massachusetts was cited for simple assault and disorderly conduct following an incident in Pownal today.
Authorities say they were notified of a fight in progress at the Ladd Brook Inn at around 12:30 p.m.
Police allege that Tionna A. Young, of Pittsfield, MA, hit Ashley Brown, 19, of Pownal, causing pain.
Police say Young also acted in a violent and tumultuous manner while in the presence of several people.
Young was issued conditions of release and a citation ordering her to appear in court today.
