BENSON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Benson on Sunday.
The crash took place on Stage Road at around 2:00 p.m.
According to the report, Daniel Dean, 43, of Benson, was headed north while the other vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old from Orwell, was headed south prior to the crash.
Police say the road surface was slick and snow-covered.
The lane width was also narrowed by snow from plows clearing the roadway.
Police say both vehicles were navigating a portion of the road with a slight hill and curve when Dean applied his brakes in order to reduce speed while passing the oncoming vehicle.
After the brakes were applied, Dean’s vehicle slid left of the center of the road and collided with the juvenile.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage to the driver’s side front tire.
Police say nobody was injured.
State Police were assisted on scene by members of the Benson Fire Department.
