Driver charged with DUI at Highgate port of entry

HIGHGATE — A 25-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested for DUI following an incident in Highgate yesterday.

Police say they were contacted by US Customs and Border Protection at the Highgate Port of Entry on I-89 regarding a possible impaired driver at around 6:30 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Zachary Rohacek, of Manchester, NH, displayed signs of impairment.

Rohacek was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in St. Albans.

He was released with a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in court on March 22 to answer the charge.
