FAIRLEE — A 58-year-old woman was charged with assault following an incident in Fairlee on Friday.
Authorities say they were notified of a physical altercation on US Route 5 at around 10:20 p.m.
Police responded to the scene and met with the parties involved.
Following an investigation, police allege that Charlotte Kaman, of Fairlee, had assaulted Jennifer Metivier, 36, of Fairlee, causing physical pain and injury.
Kaman was issued a citation to appear in court to answer for the charge.
