BRADFORD — Hazmat crews were at the scene of a fuel tank leak in Bradford on Friday night.
Authorities say they responded to the Family Dollar on Carson Lane after a propane leak was reported at around 6:15 p.m.
It’s believed that a 1,000-gallon propane tank was damaged during snow removal.
After being damaged, the tank could not be plugged.
Crews worked overnight to get the remaining propane out of the tank.
At 4:00 a.m. this morning, Bradford Fire Along with Piermont Fire responded to Plateau Acres for a carbon monoxide alarm.
The unit was cleared at 6:30 a.m. hours.
Police say there may be a smell of propane in the area up to a 1/2 mile away from Carson lane.
