POULTNEY — A 66-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Poultney yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Vermont Route 140 at around 9:35 p.m.
Police say that the driver, identified as Edward Dumas, of Poultney, was headed north when he exited the road and hit a guardrail.
Following an investigation, police say that Dumas was operating the vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
Dumas was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Castleton Police Department where he was processed and released on a criminal citation to appear at a later date and time.
