- Conducted Patrols in 7 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Overweight Violation – Monkton – While on patrol on Monkton Road, the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement deputy observed a Tractor Trailer operating on a weight-restricted road. The TT unit was stopped and did not have a permit to be operating on that road. The vehicle was weighed, and it was 30,000 lbs overweight. A ticket was issued for the violation.

THURSDAY 01-27-22
- Conducted Patrols in 8 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Overweight Violation – Monkton – While on patrol on Bristol Rd, the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement deputy observed a Tractor Trailer operating on a weight restricted road. The TT unit was stopped and did not have a permit to be operating on that road. The vehicle was weighed, and it was over 47,000 lbs overweight. A ticket was issued for the violation.
- Welfare Check – Ripton – A caller was concerned about the welfare of an individual at their residence after missing work for several days without returning any phone calls. Deputies checked the welfare of this person, and they were found to be ok.
FRIDAY 01-28-22
- Conducted Patrols in 7 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Search Warrant – Ripton – Deputies discovered that an individual was in possession of firearms after being disqualified from being able to have them. A search warrant was submitted to and approved by the Court for the individual’s residence. 10 firearms were seized from the person including 1 shotgun, 2 handguns, and 7 rifles. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) was contacted about the violation as well.
MONDAY – FRIDAY
- Provided security at the Mahady Courthouse in Middlebury. This includes screening visitors as they enter the Courthouse and security in the Courtroom during hearings.
- Several deputies served paperwork for Civil Process.
