Icy, snowy roads cause crash in Brownington leaving 1 injured

BROWNINGTON — A crash in Brownington on Saturday sent a juvenile to the hospital, police say.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Old Stone House Road at around 6:00 p.m.

According to the report, Jeremy Moulton, 48, of Brownington, was headed north when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow and ice-covered roadway.

Moulton was unable to gain control of the vehicle prior to it striking a large tree just off the northbound lane.

There were two young passengers inside the vehicle, and one was transported by private vehicle to North Country Hospital to be treated for injuries.

Police say the other passenger was seated in the back and did not sustain any injuries.

All three occupants were reported to be wearing their seat belts at the time.

Members of the Orleans Fire Department were on scene and assisted with traffic control.

Wright’s Towing responded to remove the vehicle.
